Devin Caraza, Finance Manager at Pelagion and a dedicated enthusiast of motorsports, recently explored a new frontier with the HydroBlade, an innovative electric watercraft. Despite his background in racing cars rather than watersports, Devin was eager to test the HydroBlade’s capabilities firsthand.
“The product is very impressive,” he remarked. “It looks very smooth on the water from the videos I’ve seen. Minimal wake, very stable, easy to learn, easy to ride, a lot of fun, so I’m looking forward to it.” His anticipation underscored the excitement surrounding the HydroBlade’s user-friendly design and performance.
Thinking about what sets the HydroBlade apart from other watercraft, Devin highlighted its electric power source. “First of all, battery power, right? It’s electric, there’s no CO2 emissions, you’re not throwing any waste into the environment,” he explained enthusiastically. “It’s easy to charge, you can plug it in anywhere. It’s very smooth, something that can be fun and carried anywhere.”
During his first ride, Devin’s goal was clear: push the HydroBlade to its limits. “I’m a big speed junkie,” he admitted. “I want to see how fast it can go, how tight we can turn on it, how maneuverable it is.” His experience echoed the thrill of discovering new capabilities and enjoying the agility of the HydroBlade on the water.
Devin’s experience
Devin’s initial impressions after riding the HydroBlade were enthusiastic. “It was a blast!” he exclaimed. “It took me a second to get the hang of it. Once I realized you just gotta have a little momentum and get your weight to the front, it was easy, it was a blast.” His joy and excitement highlighted the intuitive nature of mastering the HydroBlade.
When asked to describe the experience in one word, Devin chose “flying.” “It was like flying on water, you feel like you’re floating,” he elaborated.
“The moment you start, you feel like you’re still in the water, and then all of a sudden, it’s like you took off and you are on a magic carpet ride.”
When asked about owning a HydroBlade, Devin’s enthusiasm was palpable. “Yeah, absolutely!” he exclaimed. “It’s easy to operate, easy to maintain, tons of fun. It doesn’t make any noise, just a quiet machine gliding through the water.”
Devin envisioned riding the HydroBlade in various locations. “I’d ride it anywhere, canals, lakes, beach,” he envisioned. “Any area with somewhat calm waters, you’d be able to ride it.” He also shared his aspirations about speed. “I think I got it up to 25, 30 mph today,” he noted. “If I can get it to 45/50, I would!”
Advice on mastering the HydroBlade
Reflecting on the trick that helped him master the HydroBlade, Devin recalled adjusting his center of gravity. “My initial reaction was to lean my weight forward and keep my body backwards,” he shared. “After a few spills, the guys told me to get my center of gravity closer to the front, and the moment I did that, it just clicked.”
For first-timers, Devin offered straightforward advice: “Just get your weight towards the front, especially if you’re used to riding motorcycles. Trust that it will get going just fine, but give it some ‘current,’ get your weight towards the front, and you will get it right away.”
Devin’s HydroBlade experience exemplifies the thrill and accessibility of this cutting-edge watercraft, appealing to both adrenaline seekers and those seeking a serene glide over the water.
