Our story
Pelagion is a subsidiary of Automatic Manufacturing Systems, a pioneering force in creating and applying manufacturing solutions across many industries, including automotive. Originating from a decade-long commitment to research and development, the parent company became a key supplier to dozens of Fortune 500 companies and helped automate industries such as mobile phones, disk drives, and medical devices with patented assembly machinery.
Jamie Schlinkmann, CEO of Automatic Manufacturing Systems, founded Pelagion inspired to electrify his favorite childhood pastime, a 1973 Kawasaki stand-up jet ski serial number KAWOO2130373. Since then, the team has leveraged the efficient power of hydrofoils and paved the way for the first stand-up electric hydrofoil with steering capabilities, the HydroBlade.
